                   Technical Committee

The Technical Committee meets monthly throughout the study process to provide guidance, discuss interim results and review draft products. Some of the topics addressed by the Technical Committee include the development of a Purpose and Need Statement, study goals and objectives; review of environmental analysis, conceptual engineering; ridership, forecasting results; evaluation of alternatives; and the preparation of the Alternatives Analysis Report. Norman White, Director, DDOT, serves as the Chair of this committee.

Stakeholder / Policy Maker Involvement

At the outset of the project, a series of interviews and focus group sessions were conducted to present the goals of the overall project and identify needs, issues, and concerns from these constituencies. The meetings ”took the pulse” of the community which will guide the development of the Locally Preferred Alternative.

Also, as the study progresses, meetings are being held with key stakeholders and policy makers to seek overall policy direction and guidance.
